Global 6K for Water
More than 800 children under the age of 5 die every day from diarrhea caused by contaminated water, poor sanitation, and improper hygiene. Furthermore, the average distance many women and children in the developing world walk for water is 6K (3.7mi). But we believe the global water and sanitation crisis can be solved within our lifetime.
So, on MAY 25 at 10:30 am, we are going to walk, run, or ride a 6 km loop so we can experience what people have to do to get water in many parts of the world. But we aren't just going to walk it. We are going to fundraise to help change lives. For every $50 raised, one person gets access to clean water in their local village. Imagine how many lives we can change.
